Stromlo Forest Park

Stromlo Forest Park continues to go from strength to strength. Since last year's National Championships not only has the second stage of trails been built, bringing the total of XC options close to 50km, but the 4-cross hill has been expanded and grassed and the downhill course has undergone some 16 changes to improve its flow.

Stromlo Forest Park hosted the Scott 24 hour race in October and riders were impressed with the absence of dust thanks to some good autumn rains. Further rain right through spring has done much not only to encourage the growth of dust suppressing ground cover throughout the venue, it's also given the many trees planted across the entire mountain a huge drink to get them out of the ground and spreading their canopy wide as summer kicks in.
